Through years of supporting autistic and neurodivergent children and their families, I’ve seen that progress is possible. With the right approach, kids can feel safe enough to explore and enjoy new foods, and parents can finally relax at the table, confident they are supporting their child in the best way possible. Now, I’m passionate about guiding parents on this journey. As an Accredited Practising Dietitian and feeding therapist, I combine professional expertise with real-world experience in homes like yours, helping families move from daily battles to making meaningful progress with food.
When I was at Uni, studying to become a Dietitian, my neighbour's kids were playing at my house with my daughter. I offered for them to stay for lunch but quickly found I had nothing they could eat. I had to send them home. I love food and sharing meals, and I was heartbroken. I thought they were picky eaters, but over time noticed there was a lot more going on for them.
After I graduated, I went on a mission to figure out why these kids couldn’t eat anything. I discovered feeding therapy, and when I applied what I learnt, those same kids started eating foods their mum said they'd never touch. It was so exciting, I was able to prepare a meal that we could all enjoy, and it went from them freaking out, to us having a fun time together at the table.
When I began to offer feeding therapy to families, I saw the system was not in support of this. Feeding therapy was hard to access, and unaffordable for most families. My solution was to create Grate Adventures, an online feeding therapy membership that makes support accessible and affordable.
Because here's what I know for certain: your child can eat more than you think. They just need the right environment. And when mealtimes transform, the entire parent-child relationship improves.
I help families move from the daily mealtime struggle, to laughing together at the table. Kids feel loved and accepted, and learn how to take charge of their own food journey.
